  • State’s Largest Physician Association Strongly Endorses Michael Truncale

    AUSTIN, TX – TEXPAC, the political advocacy arm of the Texas Medical Association (TMA) has endorsed Michael Truncale of Beaumont in the May 29 Republican primary election. Mr. Truncale, a former Texas State University System Regent and current State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) member, is running for the newly drawn Texas Congressional District 14, which includes all of Jefferson and Galveston counties and portions of Brazoria County. Incumbent Ron Paul (R-Lake Jackson) is not seeking reelection.

  • Michael Truncale Formally Announces Republican Candidacy for U.S. Congress

    BEAUMONT, TX – This past week, 53‐year attorney Michael Truncale hosted a reception at his home in Beaumont for Texas Governor, and likely Republican Presidential candidate, Rick Perry. Today, Truncale officially announced his own candidacy for the new Texas gulf coast Congressional District 14.

    A lifelong Southeast Texas gulf coast resident, Truncale currently serves on the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) and as a Regent of the Texas State University System.

    “Over the last three weeks, I have traveled across the district visiting and discussing issues with hundreds of local residents while gauging the support for my candidacy,” said Truncale. “Because the response has been overwhelming, I am today formally announcing my candidacy to represent the people of Texas Congressional District 14 in the United States Congress.”
